Earlier this month, Kew CC said goodbye to club legend Keith Rose.
Keith epitomised the term 'Kewmunity'. Born and raised in Kew Keith, and wife Helen, were the life and soul of the club.
Many players past and present will fondly remember their first meeting with Keith. He was regularly the first person to make them feel welcomed into the family.
That would swiftly turn into heckling you from the sidelines with Chris 'The Fossil'. His witty repartee knew no bounds and sometimes you struggled to work out how he had affectionately offended you, but knew he definitely had!
Never one to don the whites, Keith's vast contribution to the club came through the countless hours he spent tirelessly working behind the scenes and propping up the bar.
He spent many years helping Dave Matten build the corporate bookings at the club and was a hugely influential member on the management committee as well as running the bar at one time.
Keith was someone members could call on for advice and wisdom off the pitch. His love of life and the club was infectious.
Keith sadly passed away following a long illness on Christmas Day, aged 78. He is now reunited with his beloved Helen.
From everyone at Kew CC, thank you for everything you did for our club.
You will be sorely missed x
