A Recipe for Developing a Junior Cricketer
- 1 bunch of Children - as varied an age range as you can attract
- A healthy sprinkling of coaches and helpers - mix experience with enthusiasm
- Whole heap of activities - must include running about, thwacking, hurling and dressing up in all sorts of odd gear.
The Kew CC Junior sectionhave been working on this recipe with great success. As a result, we have grown very quickly with over 150 boys and girls from 5 to 17 years old, and 6 teams :- u9s to u17s.
Last time you helped us raise money towards a second mobile batting cage so that our hardball cricketers could practice in safety. This year we are raising funds towards 2 new bowling machines, battery kits, balls and stumps.
We have set up a JustGiving page for any donations you would like to make - no matter how small (or large).
#1 Bowling Machine is the Junior Bola version. Ideal for our u11s to u13s.
#2 Bowling Machine is the Paceman Original S2. Ideal for u9s/10s and those new to hardball cricket.
These machines will give our children a fantastic opportunity to develop their batting skills. An opportunity that is not be possible with coach throw downs or from deliveries by the juniors themselves.
